photo_on_2013_05_22_at_12_18_pmBorn to a large family in Perth-Andover, New Brunswick, Mark was the youngest of eleven children.  Going to church was not something his family valued.  When he was 14 years old a missionary who had come home from Africa, invited Mark to a puppet crusade where he remembers hearing about Jesus for the first time. At the age of 16, during a Wesleyan youth convention at Mount Allison University, he gave his life to Jesus Christ and later felt the call into full time ministry. Mark graduated from Kingswood University in 1985 with a Bachelors of Arts in Religion.

Since that time, Mark has served in various churches, including planting Southgate Community Church in Kemptville, Ontario.  While establishing Southgate, Mark also helped start a new church in Mexico. In his current role as Director of the Church Multiplication for the Central Canada District of The Wesleyan Church. Mark clearly has a passion for seeing new churches develop and helping established churches rediscover their mission.

Mark is married to Helen and together they have three children. After 28 years of serving in ministry, Mark has a growing passion for planting churches in Canada, from coast to coast to coast!
